Approval of Advanced Motorcycle Training Courses
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (b) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by an instrument of delegation dated 2 November 1987, I, Geoffrey Thomas Henry, Assistant Director of Road Transport, hereby approve, for the purposes of Regulation 32 of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987, the Courses of Advanced Instruction conducted by the following approved Motorcycle Training Schools:
- Christchurch Motorcycle Training School;
- Palmerston North Motorcycle Training School;
- Tauranga Motorcycle Action Rider Training School;
- Taupo Matchless Motorcycle School;
- Central Otago Motorcycle Course;
to be advanced Motorcycle Training Courses.

The Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1 1987
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, gave the following notice:
Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1 1987
The roads specified in the First Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1981, dated the 27th day of July 1981, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Lower Hutt City:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno–Wellington via Gisborne).
No. 58 State Highway (Haywards–Paremata).
All that area at Haywards bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards–Paremata) with the northern side of Old Haywards Road; thence easterly and southerly, generally, along the northern and eastern side of Old Haywards Road to the north-western side of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno–Wellington via Gisborne); thence south-westerly, generally, along that roadside to the south-eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards–Paremata); thence north-easterly and northerly, generally, along that roadside, to the commencing point.
Silverstream Bridge from the north-eastern boundary of Lower Hutt City to No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno–Wellington via Gisborne).
Belmon Road.
Eastern Hutt Road: from the northern boundary of Lower Hutt City to a point 180 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from the subway leading to the Pomare Railway Station.
Gracefield Road: from a point 490 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Bell Road to Wainuiomata Road.
Harcourt Werry Drive: from a point 580 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said drive from Mills Street to Taita Drive.
Hill Road: from a point 2400 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Grounsell Crescent to the north-western end of the said road.
Horokiwi Road.
Liverton Road.
Old Western Hutt Road: from a point 700 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Gurney Road to the north-eastern end of the said road.
Seaview Road: from the southern boundary of Lower Hutt City to Parkway Road.
Wainuiomata Road: from a point 100 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from Rishworth Street to the southern boundary of Lower Hutt City.
Second Schedule
Situated in within Lower Hutt City:
Eastern Hutt Road: from a point 280 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from the Stokes Valley Stream Bridge to a point 240 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from the said bridge; and from the High Street intersection 450 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Woburn Road.
