Notice of Decision of Minister of Lands Re Assigning of Place Names

Whereas pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on the 11th day of December 1986 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the name Silver Peaks to the peaks shown on the official map referred to in the Schedule hereto. And whereas objections were received to the proposed name and were dealt with pursuant to section 13 of the said Act.

Now therefore I hereby declare that it is my decision that the name of the said peaks shall be The Silverpeaks and that such a decision shall take effect on the 5th day of November 1987.

Pursuant to regulation 3 (8) of the Heavy Motor Vehicles Regulations 1974 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Whakatane District) Notice. 1, 1987.

2. The Whakatane District Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule is approved.

3. The Road Classification (Whakatane District) Notice No. 2, 1986, signed the 12th day of December 1986*, issued pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, which relates to the roads described in the Schedule, is revoked.
