CORRIGENDUM
Cancellation of Appointments and Appointments of Members and Deputy Members of the Marine Council
In the notice with the above heading placed in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 October 1987, No. 170, page 4556.
In the last paragraph dealing with the appointment of deputy members, the name of ‘James Wood’ should be corrected to read ‘James Woods’, also all references in the notice to the ‘Seamen’s Union of New Zealand’ should be corrected to read ‘New Zealand Seamen’s Union’.

Mount Wellington Borough – Otahuhu Borough Union Amendment Order 1987

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At Wellington this 5th day of October 1987
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 37 (1) of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- Title and Commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Mount Wellington Borough – Otahuhu Borough Union Amendment Order 1987, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Mount Wellington Borough – Otahuhu Borough Union Order 1986 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal order”).
(2) This order shall be deemed to have come into force on the same day as the principal order.
- Town and Country Planning—Clause 10 of the principal order is hereby amended by inserting after subclause (2) the following subclauses:
“(3) Notwithstanding anything in subclauses (1) and (2) of this clause, every decision of the former Mount Wellington Borough Council made upon any objection to the Proposed Third Review of its Operative District Scheme shall be deemed to be a decision of the Tamaki City Council, and every appeal thereto to the Planning Tribunal and any other matter or thing in relation thereto shall proceed accordingly.
“(4) Notwithstanding anything in subclauses (1) and (2) of this clause, the steps taken by the former Otahuhu Borough Council pursuant to Part III (and in particular section 61) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, towards the preparation of a new reviewed District Scheme for the former Borough shall be deemed to have been lawfully taken by the Tamaki City Council, and such Council is hereby authorised to proceed therewith pursuant to section 61B of the said Act as if such new reviewed district scheme were a section of the district scheme for the new district.”
- Title of Property—The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause 14 and substituting therefor the following clause:
“14. Title of Property—For the purposes of clause 13 of this order any reference (express or implied) to the ‘Mount Wellington Borough Council’ or ‘The Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Wellington’ or ‘The Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Wellington’ or ‘The Otahuhu Borough Council’ or ‘The Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Otahuhu’ or ‘The Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the Borough of Otahuhu’ in any instrument or other document whatsoever, or in any entry or record made on any register in relation to any instrument or other document whatsoever shall, unless the context otherwise requires, be read as a reference to the Tamaki City Council.”
