of A. C. Duncan Farm and Development Limited, a duly
incorporated company having its registered office at 232A George
Street, Dunedin, farmer:

Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the
above-named company by the High Court was, on the 14th day of
August 1987, presented to the said Court by the Silverpeaks
County Council, a body corporate pursuant to the Local
Government Act 1974, Territorial Local Authority; and that the
said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at
Dunedin on the 29th day of October 1987 at 10 o’clock in the
forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company
desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said
petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his
counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said
company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for
the same.

above-named company by the High Court was, on the 30th day of
July 1987, presented to the said Court by Steven Lilley, trading
as Avionics Hawke’s Bay; and that the said petition is directed to
be heard before the Court sitting at Greymouth on the 2nd day of
November 1987 at 2.15 o’clock in the afternoon and any creditor
or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose
the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the
time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and
a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any
creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on
payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF DECISION OF DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
of NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY OF ACCOUNTANTS

Notice is hereby given by the disciplinary committee of the New
Zealand Society of Accountants, that at a hearing held on 20 July
1987, Clifton James Nichol, chartered accountant of Wanganui, was
charged with acts discreditable to a chartered accountant, of having
conducted himself in such a manner as to render the exercise of
the powers of the disciplinary committee expedient in the interests
of the public and of the society, and of unprofessional conduct. The
member had failed to reply to letters sent to him by the society.

The disciplinary committee found all charges proven and censured
the member. The committee imposed a penalty of $200 plus GST
and pursuant to section 24 (3) (e) of the New Zealand Society of
Accountants Act 1958, ordered the member to pay $975 plus GST
towards the costs of the inquiry by the disciplinary committee and
the investigation by the investigation committee.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
notice is hereby given that a Poll of the Electors of the City of New
Plymouth taken on the 19th day of September 1987 on the proposal
of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $4,800,000.00
to be known as the Administration Buildings Loan 1987 for the
purpose of constructing new buildings, refurbishing existing
buildings, demolishing existing buildings, paying professional fees
including property acquisition fees and compensation, and all works
and things ancillary thereto and to reimburse general account for
amounts previously expended for the purpose, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 7338.

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10,956.

The number of informal votes was 565.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

has been reprinted without any changes because, though first pub-
lished in 1922, it still provides the student and general reader with
good source material.

the Maori division of time as well as references to other Polynesian
systems. The Maori year, the months of the Maori year, and the
nights of the moon are examined. The names of seasons, terms

making this a fascinating and comprehensive source document.

This book is one of a series of bulletins prepared by Elsdon Best
and reprinted without revision. This bulletin remains the only com-
prehensive account of most aspects of Maori fishing. The emphasis
is upon inland and estuarine techniques, as these are the techniques
Best was able to observe most closely. The detailed fishing methods
are accompanied by descriptions of the artifacts used, together with
associated chants, magic formulae, special observances, and fishing
lore. This comprehensive book provides a wealth of information
for the student and general reader.
