The Transport (Standards for Laminated Glass) Notice 1987

PURSUANT to regulation 73A of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Transport (Standard of Laminated Glass) Notice 1987.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1987.

  2. Standards for laminated glass—(1) For the purposes of regulation 73A of the Traffic Regulations 1976 laminated glass in glass front windscreens must comply with one of the following standards:
    (a) The New Zealand Standard 325.
    (b) The New Zealand Standard 5443.
    (c) The Australian Design Rule No. 8.
    (d) The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 205.
    (e) The British Standard AU.178.
    (f) The British Standard 857.
    (g) The Economic Commission for Europe Regulations 43.

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, safety glass complying with New Zealand Standard 5443 and marked accordingly is hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 73 of the said regulations.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 19 August 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Lord Nelson Tavern, 151–159 Willis Street, Wellington.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 19 August 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Hotel Waterloo.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On Monday to Saturday inclusive—Opening at 8 o’clock in the morning and closing at 7 o’clock in the evening in respect of all bars.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On the Thursday preceding Easter—Closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
