CALL FOR TENDERS: ROUND 44

PURSUANT to the Import Control Regulations 1973, Amendment No. 3 (S.R. 1980/246), and within the terms of the Australia - New Zealand Closer Economic Relations Trade Agreement (ANZCERTA), I. P. E Donovan, Deputy Secretary of Trade and Industry hereby call for tenders for import licences (Tendered Exclusive Australian Licences or TEALs) for the goods specified below.

NOTES:

  1. Amounts for tender in Part I are the Manufacturers Exclusive Australian Licences (MEALs) taken up but not used in the 1985/86 import licensing year. Unused 1985/86 MEALs are being tendered in those item codes that were oversubscribed in the main 1986/87 ANZCERTA tender round (Round 35). Unused 1985/86 MEALs in undersubscribed item codes have been added directly to the residual pool (REALs) and are available on application.

CALENDAR YEAR ANZCERTA LICENCES

  1. Tendered in Part II are the ANZCERTA annual allocations for those products made available on a calendar year basis. These are rubber products, synthetic carpet, and some wood panel products.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS

  1. All tenders close at 5 p.m. on Monday, 2 February 1986, with The Registrar, Import Licence Tendering, Department of Trade and Industry, P.O. Box 3146, Wellington. No late tenders can be accepted. Tenders must be mailed to the above address in time to arrive before the closing time or be delivered by hand to the First Floor Reception, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, Wellington. Envelopes should be clearly marked 'ANZCERTA Import Licence Tender' on the bottom right-hand corner.

BIDS AND BID FORMS

  1. This Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette will be sent to all persons and organisations on the Register of Tenderers. Prospective tenderers not on the Register of Tenderers can purchase the Gazette at the bookshops of the Government Printer. Registered tenderers will also be sent bid forms. Other persons can obtain these from the Department of Trade and Industry. Application forms for entering on to the Register of Tenderers can be obtained from the Department of Trade and Industry.

  2. The bid forms to be used are printed on green coloured paper and are marked 'T. & I. 335D' or on pink paper, T & I 335E. They are the same forms as are used for global import licence tenders.
