The Road Classification (Kapiti Borough) Notice No. 1, 1987
Pursuant to regulation 3 (8) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Kapiti Borough) Notice No. 1, 1987.

The Kapiti Borough Councilβs proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule is approved.

Kapiti Borough
Roads Classified in Class Two
Akatarawa Road: from Ngatiawa Road to the Upper Hutt Boundary.
Maungakotukutuku Road.
Ngatiawa Road.
Paekakariki Hill Road: from State Highway No. 1 to Hutt County Boundary.
Rangihora Road.
Waterfall Road.
Roads Classified in Class One
All roads and parts of road under the control of the Kapiti Borough Council not otherwise named in the Schedule.

The Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice No. 1, 1987
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:
NOTICE
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice No. 1, 1987.
The roads specified in the First Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice No. 1, 1979, dated the 8th day of June 1979* issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Situated within Palmerston North City:
No. 56 State Highway (Palmerston North-Himatangi): from the western boundary of Palmerston North City to a point 20 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Maxwells Line.
No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon): from the southern end of the bridge across the Manawatu River to the southern boundary of Palmerston North City.
Kelvin Grove Road: from the eastern boundary of Palmerston North City to McLeavey Drive.
Petersens Road.
Railway Road: from the eastern boundary of Palmerston North City to a point 700 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the said boundary.
Summerhill Drive: from the eastern boundary of Palmerston North City to the No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon).
SECOND SCHEDULE
Situated within Palmerston North City:
No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon): from the southern end of the bridge across the Manawatu River to the southern boundary of Palmerston North City.
Kelvin Grove Road: from McLeavey Drive to a point 50 metres south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Roberts Line.

The Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 3, 1987
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:
NOTICE
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 3, 1987.
The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The roads specified in the Third Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each following year, and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, in each following year, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour fixed by the said section.
The Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 2, 1987 dated the 12th day of January 1987*, issued pursuant to Section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.
