PURSUANT to sections 15, 16 and 20 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

1. Title—This order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Canterbury Regional Planning Scheme: Section One: Change No. 1) Order 1987.

2. Change to Section One of Canterbury Regional Planning Scheme Approved—Change No. 1 to Section One of the Canterbury Regional Planning Scheme as prepared in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act by the Canterbury United Council in September 1986, and held in the office of the Commissioner of Works under reference CAN 38 is hereby approved.

3. Commencement of Change—Change No. 1 to Section One of the Canterbury Regional Planning Scheme as approved by clause 2 of this order shall come into force on 20 July 1987.

Appointment of a Member to Extraordinary Vacancy on the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services

PURSUANT to sections 4, 5 and 6 of the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services Act 1977, the Minister of Local Government hereby appoints the following person to be a member of the Joint Council for Local Authority Services

in place of Ross Malcolm Jansen on the joint nomination of the Municipal Association of New Zealand, the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated, the Auckland Regional Authority, and any regional councils for the remainder of his term of office which expires on 30 September 1989.

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

PURSUANT to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 7 of the Family Courts Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

William Hales Reid, resigned District Court Judge of Invercargill to be an Acting District Court Judge and Family Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction, to exercise the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Courts and the jurisdiction of the Family Courts for a term of 2 years on and from 17 September 1987.
