the Wellington District and No. 7 Transport District Licensing Authority (W. O'Brien), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting to receive evidence or representations, whether submitted in writing or presented in person for or against the granting of them in the Conference Room, Second Floor, Pearse House, corner Willis and Ghuznee Streets, Wellington commencing on Thursday, 17 July 1986 at 9.30 a.m.

Applicants must be present or represented. All documents for alteration must be handed in at the sitting.

A7/86/181 Thomas Clement Birch, Titahi Bay: Renew the lease of Taxicab Service Licence No. 14956 for a further period of 12 months.

A7/86/182 Stephen Kerry Mishkin, Wellington: Amend Taxicab Service Licence No. 15338 by deleting, from the special conditions referring to the carriage of unaccompanied goods, sentence No. (3) and substituting the following: "(3) Goods may be carried only in the closed luggage boot, or in the luggage compartment of van and station wagon type vehicles as approved by the vehicle testing authorities."

Amendment to the Notice of Goods Moving to Licence on Demand

In the notice of Goods Moving to Licence on Demand dated 19 March 1986 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 March 1986, No. 40, page 1211, at page 1216 against item code Ex. 84.8201 delete tariff item Ex. 84.47.001.31F and add to the description (excluding drilling and boring machines) and at page 1217 delete all reference to item code 90.050 including tariff item 90.28.001 and the related description.

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 13) 1986

Pursuant to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 13) 1986.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 7th day of July 1986.

  1. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  2. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 12) 1986, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 89, dated 12 June 1986, on page 2493 is hereby revoked.
