Revocation of Notice Relating to Dumping Duty

PURSUANT to section 186A (9) of the Customs Act 1966, I hereby revoke the notice dated the 16th day of January 1986, imposing dumping duty on the goods specified in that notice which were exported from Australia and imported into New Zealand on or after 7 August 1985.

Declaration of Vehicle with Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle

PURSUANT to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1961, and pursuant to an instrument of delegation dated 28 March 1985, the Chief Controller, Land Transport Policy, hereby declares the vehicle described in the Schedule hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act.


SCHEDULE

THE three-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls and a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet engine, bearing the chassis No. T6214, which was built in 1985 by M. Van der Krogt of Ashburton.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.


Number and Title of Specification

DZ 1300/A3 Draft Amendment No. 3 to NZ S. 1300:1965 General requirements for electrical appliances and accessories. Gratis.

This draft amendment introduces metrication, incorporates changes of an editorial nature, corrects notified and other typographical errors and includes items by way of clarification.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 23 July 1986.

Transport Licensing Authority Sitings

PURSUANT to sections 121 and 136 of the Transport Act 1962, as amended by the Transport Amendment Act (No. 2) 1983, the No. 8 District Transport Licensing Authority (F. H. K. Moore) gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting in the District Court, Bridge Street, Nelson on Thursday, the 22nd day of May 1986 commencing at 9.30 a.m. to hear evidence for or against granting them.

A8A/86/ Larry and Margaret Helena Mephan, Nelson. Transfer Continuous Taxicab Service Licence No. 11546 from Terence Rodney Hunt.

A8A/86/23 Nelson Lakes Service Car Limited, St Arnaud. Application for a new Passenger Service Licence with a scheduled service with the right to carry goods. Details are as follows:

  1. The service is to be a daily service operating from St Arnaud to Nelson and return via Golden Downs Forest with the right to pick up and set down en route.

  2. The service will depart from St Arnaud at 11.20 a.m. arriving at Nelson at 12.35 p.m. The service will then return to St Arnaud leaving Nelson at 1 p.m. and arriving at St Arnaud at 2.15 p.m.

  3. The service is designed to connect with the Greymouth–Picton service operated by Delta Coachlines Ltd. Delta Coachlines bus will arrive at St Arnaud at 11.15 a.m. on the way to Picton and on the return trip arrives at St Arnaud from Picton at 3.40 p.m.

  4. The effect of the new Licence will be to provide a new service from Greymouth departing at 7.30 a.m. arriving in Nelson at 12.35 p.m. and a return service departing Nelson at 1 p.m. arriving at Greymouth at 7.45 p.m. (Pitt & Moore, P.O. Box 42, Nelson).

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 9) 1986

PURSUANT to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 9) 1986.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 12th day of May 1986.

  2. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 8) 1986, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 54, dated 17 April 1986, on page 1589 is hereby revoked.
