Waitemata Fire District Notice 1986

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New
Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the
Waitemata Fire District Notice 1986.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of June 1986.

2. Waitemata Fire District constituted—The Waitemata Fire Dis-
trict constituted a fire district by the Waitemata Fire District Notice
1979 is hereby abolished and a fire district to be known as the
Waitemata Fire District is hereby constituted.

3. Boundaries of Fire District defined—The boundaries of the
Waitemata Fire District constituted by this notice are hereby defined
in the Schedule hereto.

4. Revocation—The following notice is hereby revoked: New
Zealand Gazette, 1979, p. 3848, the Waitemata Fire District Notice
1979.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District in Waitemata
City and Rodney County bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of the easternmost corner of Lot 13, D.P. 55290 and
the line of mean high water of the left bank of Brighams Creek in
Block IX, Waitemata Survey District and proceeding north-west-
erly and westerly along the north-eastern and northern boundaries
of the said Lot 13, to the eastern side of State Highway No. 18 in
Block V, Waitemata Survey District, thence northerly along the said
eastern side of State Highway No. 18 to and along the last-mention-
ed southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 22456, thence southerly along
a right line across State Highway No. 16 to its southern side; thence
westerly along that southern side of State Highway No. 16, crossing
the intervening Taupaki Road, to and along the north-western
boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 65110 and that boundary produced to the
middle of the Kumeu River; thence southerly generally up the middle
of the Kumeu River to a point in line with the north-eastern bound-

N72, Waipareira Parish, to and northerly along the eastern boundary

boundary of Allotment N86, Waipareira Parish, to the western side
of Red Hills Road; thence south-easterly and easterly generally along
the intervening Sunnyvale and Birdwood Roads, to and south-east-
erly generally along the generally south-western side of Don Buck
Road to the easternmost corner of Lot 14, D.P. 45620; thence east-
erly along a right line across Don Buck Road to the northernmost
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 39753 and continuing easterly generally along
the southern side of Waimumu Road crossing the intervening Zita
Maria Drive, Crompton Road and Chorley Avenue to the western-
most corner of Lot 1, D.P. 42401, in Block XIV, Waitemata Survey
District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. 42401, and the south-western boundaries of Lots 7, 9,
10, 11, 12, 14, 18 and 51, D.P. 50352, to the line of mean high
water of the left bank of the Huruhuru Creek; thence northerly
generally along the line of mean high water of the Huruhuru Creek
and the Waitemata Harbour and its creeks and inlets and including
Herald Island to the point of commencement.

Reservation of Land

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, and to a delegation from the
Minister of Lands, the Assistant Director of Land Administration
of the Department of Lands and Survey, hereby sets apart the land,

subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.

Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and
Manage a Reserve and Declaration That the Said Reserve Shall
be Subject to the Provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby
appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the
reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions
of the said Act, as a Government purpose (wildlife management)
reserve, and further, declares that the said reserve shall be subject
to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.
