FRUIT CANNING INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
This is the fourth annual allocation of six-yearly rounds of tendering under the fruit canning industry development plan. Manufacturers who have accepted an allocation in terms of the plan and any subsidiary companies, are not eligible to tender.

TYRE AND TUBE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
This is the sixth allocation of licence under this plan. No single group of companies is allowed to win more than the specified maximum number of units a tenderer may bid for as advertised under each tender for tubes and tyres. A group of companies is regarded as those companies associated by a 25 percent or more direct or indirect common investment. Licence will be withheld entirely from any group of companies going beyond this limit.
| Tender No. | Item Code | Tariff Items | Goods: Brief Description | No. of $2,000 cif Units | No. of Units a Tenderer May Bid For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4650 | Ex 40.036 | Ex 40.11.04L | Steel cord or steel belted radial truck tyres 20 inch and over and tubes in sets | 2275 | 1707 |

| 4652 | Ex 40.036 | Ex 40.11.04L | Tyres other than steel cord or steel belted radial truck tyres 20 inch and over, and steel radial passenger car tyres | 4600 | 3450 |
| 4653 | Ex 40.036 | Ex 40.11.04L | Rubber tubes for motor vehicles | 527 | 395 |
It should be noted that the format of the tender is not in line with previous tenders. The licence unit size is now in $2,000 lots. Bid form T. & I. 335D should be used as for other tenders. A full year’s allocation of licence is offered for tender rather than two separate 6-monthly tenders. It should be further noted that a single invoice and a single licence will be made out for successful bids by each tenderer in each separate tender number.

1986/87 MANUFACTURERS EXCLUSIVE AUSTRALIAN LICENCES (MEALS)—SECOND CALL FOR MEAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE 1986/87 IMPORT LICENSING YEAR
-
Listed below are the item codes in which additional Manufacturers Exclusive Australian Licence (MEALs) MAY be available in the 1986/87 import licensing year.

This is the second call for MEALs for 1986/87 and is open to new applicants as well as to applicants who have already held MEALs (existing applicants).
-
Applications for the first call for MEALs for 1986/87 closed on 4 November 1985. -
Applicants for 1986/87 MEALs should note that a manufacturer (including subsidiaries and associates) who receives and retains Manufacturers EAL (MEAL) in an item code is not permitted to tender in that same item code. For further information on this, and for other guidelines for manufacturers applying for MEALs, please refer to the “TEAL and MEAL Allocation Procedures” booklet published in March 1985.

- All applicants must supply the following information, separately for each item code in which they apply. (New applicants should ignore the reference to past years):
