Naming of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands, hereby declares that the Government purpose reserve (site for a lighthouse), described in the Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be known as Cape Wanbrow Lighthouse.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a wahi tapu for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Kahungunu tribe.

Redefining a Maori Reservation

WHEREAS by Gazette notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 36 at page 768 dated the 8th day of April 1976 the land described in the Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation for the use or the benefit of the members of the Haahi-o-te-Wairua-Tapu Church:

Now therefore the Maori Land Court has recommended that the said Maori reservation in the Schedule hereto be redefined and that the said Maori reservation now be set aside for the members of the Ringatu Church.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XVI, Mangatu Survey District and described as follows:

PURSUANT to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the reservation of Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the owners by a notice dated the 13th day of February 1964 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 7, page 183 is hereby cancelled.

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1986, No. 3.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
