PRINTED below is the official allocation of Manufacturers Exclusive Australian licences for the 1985/86 licensing period, valid for imports from 1 July 1985 to 30 June 1986.

Goods imported with these licences must meet the NZ/Australian Rules of Origin criteria contained in the amended Customs Regulations 1968 and in Article 3 of the ANZCERT Agreement.

MEALS not taken up in 1985/86 were transferred to the tender pool.

In applying for MEALS, manufacturers undertook to use any licences obtained fully and consistently with the principles of the ANZCERTA, viz., rationalising existing production by substituting Australian imports for higher cost domestic lines or by complementing existing lines.

There is no automatic reissue of MEAL licences.
