The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 2402 Code of practice for geothermal heating equipment in Rotorua. $9.68 (incl. $0.88 GST)

This code of practice applies to the installation of geothermal heating equipment which takes and uses geothermal drawoff from the Rotorua geothermal field. It applies to both commercial and residential heating equipment. It primarily refers to the use of geothermal drawoff for:

space heating and cooling
hot water heating
spa and swimming pool heating
mineral pools

The primary purpose of the code is to form the basis for the future efficient and safe use of geothermal energy in Rotorua.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 181–187 Victoria Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 28 February 1987.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington not later than 9 January 1987.
