The Wellington Harbour Board Employees Superannuation Scheme Order 1986

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Wellington this 8th day of December 1986

Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council.

Pursuant to section 25 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1942, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Wellington Harbour Board Employees Superannuation Scheme Order 1986.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 14th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

2. Consent to superannuation scheme—Consent is hereby given to the Wellington Harbour Board to establish a superannuation scheme for the benefit of persons in its employment and their dependants, subject to the following conditions:

(a) The scheme shall apply only in respect of employees who are not eligible to join the scheme for which consent was given in the Harbour Boards Employees Superannuation Scheme Order 1985*.

(b) The only benefits of the scheme shall be lump sum payments on the death or disability (including early retirement due to disability) of an employee.

(c) The benefits of the scheme shall be provided only by means of life insurance.

Pursuant to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:

Appointments

Lieutenant John Noel Grant, Royal New Zealand Navy, is appointed to the Regular Air Force on a fixed engagement in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 15 January 1980 and effect from 15 January 1986.

Flight Lieutenant Nicholas Michael Pedley (RAF Rtd) is appointed to the Regular Air Force on a fixed engagement of 5 years in his present rank, with seniority from 24 September 1979 and effect from 24 September 1986.

Flying Officer P. O. McLuskie, B.Sc., with reference to the notice published in the Gazette, 8 May 1986, No. 69, page 1976, for the seniority date “11 July 1984” substitute “10 October 1985”.

Flying Officer R. D. Cullinane to be temp. Flight Lieutenant with effect from 20 October 1986.
