Commencing at the mouth of the Kaipara Harbour and proceeding generally northerly and easterly along the south boundary of the proposed Hobson Electoral District to its intersection with the mean high water mark on the east coast, thence southerly along that river to and southerly along the eastern boundary of the Wainui Riding of the Rodney County to and generally southerly along the East Coasts Bays Road, Wrights Road, SH1 and State Highway 18 to its intersection with the Rangitopuni Stream, thence down along SH16, Kumea River, Trotting Course Drive, Waitakere Road, Access Road, Tawa Road, Motu Road, Trigg Road, westerly to and along School Road, Hinau Road, Cable Road, Valley Road and the Okiritoto Stream to its intersection with the mean high water mark, thence northerly along that mean high water mark to the point of commencement, including Kawau and other adjacent islands.

ALBANY

Population: 33 132
Classification: Group B

Commencing at the mouth of the Waiwera River being a point on the boundary of the proposed Kaipara Electoral District and proceeding generally southerly along that boundary to the point of intersection of Brightmans Creek and mouth of Totara Creek thence southerly up the last mentioned creek to and westerly along Hobsonville Road, to and southerly along Don Buck Road, to and easterly along Royal Road to the middle of Henderson Creek, thence generally north easterly to and along Hellyers Creek, to and north easterly along the south boundary of Albany Urban Ward of Takapuna City to its intersection with East Coast Bays Road, thence northerly along that road to and easterly along the northern boundary of East Coast Bays City to its intersection with the mean high water mark, thence generally northerly along the mean high water mark to the point of commencement and including Tiritiri Matangi Island.

EAST COAST BAYS

Population: 34 084
Classification: Group A

The existing East Coast Bay Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, but excluding the portion of Takapuna City to the north of the northern boundary of East Coast Bays City.

NORTH SHORE

Population: 32 885
Classification: Group A

The existing North Shore Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424.

BIRKENHEAD

Population: 33 708
Classification: Group A

The existing Birkenhead Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, but excluding that portion of the northern boundary bounded by Lynden Avenue, Coronation Road, Hillcrest Avenue and Sylvia Road.

GLENFIELD

Population: 33 266
Classification: Group A

The existing Glenfield Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 and including that portion on its southern boundary bounded by Lynden Avenue, Coronation Road, Hillcrest Avenue and Sylvia Road but excluding the area of Albany Urban Ward of Takapuna City now included in the proposed Albany Electoral District.

WEST AUCKLAND

Population: 33 369
Classification: Group B

Commencing at the mouth of the Okiritoto Stream being a point on the boundary of the proposed Kaipara Electoral District and proceeding generally easterly and southerly along that boundary, the boundary of the proposed Albany Electoral District and the boundary of the proposed Te Atatu Electoral District to the intersection of the Henderson Borough Boundary with Bruce McLaren Road, thence southerly generally along that road, Parrs Cross Road, West Coast Road and Glengary Road to and southerly along the Glen

Eden Borough boundary and Sharpe Stream for approximately 1 km, thence to and southerly along Scenic Drive, Shaw Road and the boundary of Waitakere Urban Ward of Waitemata City to a point on Exhibition Drive approximately 1 km from Huia Road, thence southerly along that drive and Huia Road to a point approximately 100 metres north east of the Lower Nihotupu Reservoir outlet, thence southerly, to the mean high water mark thence generally westerly along that water mark to the point of commencement.

TE ATATU

Population: 33 063
Classification: Group A

The existing Te Atatu Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 and including the area bounded by Sturges Road, the Henderson Borough Boundary, Opanuku Stream and a line from a point on the Opanuku Stream approximately 100 metres south west of the north western corner Henderson Valley Reserve, running north west to Sturges Road.

TITIRANGI

Population: 33 215
Classification: Group A

Commencing at a point on the mean high water mark in Big Muddy Creek being the eastern boundary of the proposed West Auckland Electoral District and proceeding northerly along that boundary and easterly along the southern boundary of the proposed Te Atatu Electoral District to the mean high water mark of the Wairau Creek in the Waitemata Harbour, thence generally easterly along that water mark to a point in line with the extension of the eastern part of Cobham Crescent and Archibald Road, to its intersection with the Glen Eden Borough boundary, thence generally southerly along the boundary of that borough and New Lynn Borough to its intersection with the boundary of the existing Waitakere Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, on Titirangi Road, thence generally southerly, easterly and westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

NEW LYNN

Population 32 939
Classification: Group A

Commencing at Te Whau Point in Blockhouse Bay being a point on the mean high water mark of the Manakau Harbour and coinciding with the boundary of the existing New Lynn Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1434, thence westerly along that boundary, to and generally northerly along the eastern boundary of the proposed Titirangi Electoral District to a point on the mean high water mark at the extension of the eastern portion of Cobham Crescent, thence generally north easterly along that water mark to a point near the intersection of the North Western Motorway and Great North Road, thence easterly along that road, southerly along Carrington Road, Woodway Road and Richardson Road to its intersection with the boundary of the existing New Lynn Electoral District, thence westerly along that creek to its intersection with Donovan Street, thence easterly along that street, to and southern along Gilletta Road to the mean high water mark in Lynfield Cove, thence westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

MT ALBERT

Population: 33 148
Classification: Group A

Commencing at the intersection of Richardson Road and Oakley Creek being a point on the boundary of the proposed New Lynn Electoral District and proceeding generally northerly along that boundary to the mean high water mark near the intersection of the North Western Motorway and Great North Road, thence generally northerly along that water mark to its intersection with the west boundary of the Grey Lynn Ward of Auckland City, thence southerly along that boundary to and generally easterly along Old Mill Road, Surrey Crescent, Williamson Avenue, Harcourt Street, Great North Road and Bond Street to its intersection with the northern boundary of the existing Mt Albert Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, thence generally easterly, southerly and westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

ROSKILL

Population: 33 027
Classification: Group A

Commencing at the intersection of Richardson Road and Oakley Creek being a point on the boundary of the proposed Mt Albert Electoral District and proceeding easterly along the southern boundary of that district, to and along the northern and eastern boundaries of the existing Roskill Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 to its intersection with Goodall Street, thence south easterly along that street to the mean high water mark, thence westerly along that water mark to and generally northerly
