Notice of Marine Mammal Permit Application (Notice No. 3917; Ag. 9/6/16/1)
PURSUANT to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, notice is hereby given that Mr Earl Bubar has applied to import into New Zealand two tusks of the Pacific walrus. The tusks were collected by Mr Bubar from Kukukak Bay, Alaska. Further details may be obtained from the Director, Fisheries Management Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Private Bag, Wellington.
Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward their submission in writing to reach me within 28 days of publication of this notice.

The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1986, No. 2
PURSUANT to the Overseas Investment Regulations 1985, the Overseas Investment Commission gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1986, No. 2.
(2) This notice shall come into force 10 a.m. on the 23rd day of October 1986.
- Interpretation—(1) In this notice unless the context otherwise requires “the Regulations” means the Overseas Investment Regulations 1985.
(2) Terms or expressions used in this notice shall have the same meaning as they have in the regulations.

Application—This notice applies to any company which is an overseas person but which would not be an overseas person if NZI Corporation Ltd. were not an overseas person.

Exemption from Part I of the Regulations—The issue of shares to an overseas person or the allotment of any shares subscribed for by an overseas person to that overseas person shall be exempt from the provisions of Part I of the regulations if the overseas person to whom the shares are issued or allotted is:
(a) a person to whom this notice applies, or
(b) NZI Corporation Ltd.
- Exemption from Parts II and III of the Regulations—Every person to whom this notice applies is hereby exempt of the requirements of Part II and Part III of the regulations.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 20 August 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Olympic Hotel.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Friday and Saturday opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
