Pursuant to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints
Sir Ronald Ramsay Trotter of Wellington
as a Director of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to hold office during pleasure for a term of 3 years from the 1st day of October 1986.

The Lake Rotomanu Waters Control Order 1986

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 84 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Lake Rotomanu Waters Control Order 1986.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1986.
- Interpretation—In this order—
“The Act” means the Harbours Act 1950:
“The council” means the New Plymouth City Council constituted under the Local Government Act 1974.

A grant of Control—There is hereby granted to the council for a period of 21 years from the 1st day of November 1986 and ending with the 31st day of October 2007 control of the waters described in the Schedule to this order.

Conditions of Grant—The grant of control conferred by clause 3 of this order is subject to the following conditions—
(a) Suitably worded signs shall be erected at main public access ways to the waters described in the Schedule to this order indicating that control of the waters has been granted to the council pursuant to section 84 of the Act.
(b) All money received by the council in the performance or exercise of the functions, duties, or powers conferred on it by this order in respect of waters to which this order applies, shall, after the deduction of any expenditure incurred by the council in the performance or exercise of those functions, duties, or powers, be applied to the construction, repair or improvement of facilities in respect of those waters and not otherwise.
- Powers of Council—Subject to section 84 of the Act, the council may, in respect of the waters to which this order applies—
(a) By bylaw, do anything which a harbour board may do by bylaw under section 232 of the Act:
(b) Appoint harbourmasters, and other officers, and define or limit their powers and duties.
SCHEDULE
All the waters of Lake Rotomanu situated in the City of New Plymouth and more particularly as shown delineated in red on plan M.D. 16408 deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport, Wellington.

New Zealand Railways Corporation Appeal Board—Appointment of Chairman

Pursuant to section 94 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint as a Member and as Chairman of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Appeal Board, Noel Carmeron Kelly of Upper Hutt, to hold office from and including the 7th day of October 1986 to and including the 6th day of October 1989.
