Assumption of the Office of Administrator of the Government by the Right Honourable Sir Robin Brunskill Cooke, President of the Court of Appeal

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was graciously pleased by Letters Patent passed under the Seal of New Zealand, and bearing date the 28th day of October 1983, to provide that, whenever the office of Governor-General is vacant or the holder of the office is for any reason unable to perform all or any of the functions of the office, those functions should be performed by the Administrator of the Government:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General, the Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, is absent from the seat of Government and unable to perform all the functions of the office of Governor-General:
And whereas the Chief Justice of New Zealand, the Right Honourable Sir Ronald Keith Davison, is on sabbatical leave and absent from the seat of Government and unable to act as the Administrator of the Government:
