No. 142
PURSUANT to the Import Control Regulations 1973 (S.R. 1980/246), I. P. E. Donovan, Deputy Secretary of Trade and Industry, acting under delegated authority hereby announce the availability of certain licence units left unpaid from Rounds 30 and 31 of import licence tenders.
Where residual licence was not previously available in the various categories of goods listed below, the weighted average price of the units has been recalculated by taking out the unpaid units.
The licences available are all global licences. No continuity provision will apply to these licences. These licences will not be available to the original tenderers who failed to pay for units won in Rounds 30 and 31 or to other barred tenderers.
Application for the units shown as available should be made on form 401 and should reach the Registrar of Tenders no later than 5 p.m. on 13 October 1986.
Where demand for licence exceeds the supply, the allocation of licence will be by random computer selection. Applicants will be written to about the outcome of their requests for licence.
Any licence remaining after this initial allocation will be regarded as residual licence and will be issued at the weighted average price as shown.
These licences will be valid from 1st November 1986 to 31 January 1987. Current payment provisions of a 10 percent deposit in 14 days of the results letter and the balance in the three months period will apply. Envelopes must be marked 'Round 39'.
NOTE:
-
Tenderers should refer to the Customs Tariff and the Import Licensing Schedule for a definitive description of the goods included in the list below.
-
Tenderers should be conversant with the various statutes and regulations which importing enterprises are obliged to comply with.
