The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 2, 1986

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport gives the following notice:

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 2, 1986.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 23rd day of January 1974, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Franklin County at Clarks Beach and Waiiau Beach:

  • Channel View Road.
  • Crisp Road.
  • Hosking Place.
  • Keven Road.
  • Learning Place.
  • Litchfield Place.
  • Millen Place.
  • Miller Place.
  • Seaway Road.
  • Taihiki Road.
  • Torkar Road.
  • Vela Place.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Franklin County at Clarks Beach and Waiiau Beach:

  • Stella Drive.
  • Stevenson Road.
  • Wharf Road: from a point 300 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Clarks Beach Road to its south-western end.

CNG Fuel System Variation of Approval

PURSUANT to regulation 90D of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7)) and to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Robert Norman Abram, Chief Automotive Engineer of the Ministry of Transport, hereby vary the approval given on 7 September 1983 in respect of certain CNG fuel system components listed in the First Schedule.

This variation applies to cylinders listed in the First Schedule when fitted in vehicles of the Second Schedule and will take effect from 31 October 1986.

From 31 October 1986 the cylinders listed in the First Schedule shall not be approved components of any alternative fuel system fitted in any of the vehicles listed in the Second Schedule.

This variation applies also to cylinders listed in the First Schedule once removed from vehicles listed in the Second Schedule.

From 31 October 1986 the cylinders listed in the First Schedule and having been removed from any vehicle listed in the Second Schedule shall not be approved components of any alternative fuel system.

No CNG inspection certificate will be issued to any motor vehicle which is fitted with a cylinder listed in the First Schedule after 31 October 1986.

No warrant of fitness or certificate of fitness will be issued to any motor vehicle listed in the Second Schedule which is fitted with a cylinder listed in the First Schedule, after 31 October 1986.

FIRST SCHEDULE

CYLINDERS FOR WHICH APPROVAL IS TO BE REVOKED

ANY BoGap CNG cylinder marked with a serial number commencing with any one of the following sets of characters: 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L, 6L, 7L, 8L, 9L, 10L, 11L, or 12L fitted in any vehicle listed in the Second Schedule.

SECOND SCHEDULE

VEHICLES WHICH MAY NOT BE OPERATED AFTER 31 OCTOBER 1986 IF FITTED WITH A CYLINDER LISTED IN THE FIRST SCHEDULE

Any passenger service vehicle, goods service vehicle other than one used exclusively for private purposes, rental vehicle, taxicab, or dedicated CNG vehicle.
