Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Invercargill Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Invercargill Licensing Committee on 28 April 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the North Road Friars Liquor Barrel.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

North Road Friars Liquor Barrel, North Road, trade hours will be as currently:
Monday–Thursday: 9.30 a.m.–1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.–6.00 p.m.
Friday 9.30 a.m.–1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.–8.30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–12 noon.

On late shopping nights in the locality whenever they may fall the hours shall be 9.30 a.m.–1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.–8.30 p.m. The premises will not trade on statutory holidays.

Notice to Make Payment of Land Tax Under the Land Tax Act 1976

PURSUANT to the Land Tax Act 1976, notice is hereby given as follows:

Land tax on land held as at noon on 31 March 1986, shall be due and payable in one sum on 7 October 1986 at any office of the Inland Revenue Department.

DECLARATION OF STATE OF REGIONAL CIVIL DEFENCE EMERGENCY WITHIN THE AORANGI REGION
Pursuant to Section 51 of the Civil Defence Act 1983

I, Archibald Campbell Houstoun, hereby declare a state of Regional Civil Defence Emergency to be in force in the Milford Riding of the Strathallan County and the Borough of Temuka within the Aorangi Region.

The state of Regional Civil Defence Emergency shall come into force on the time and date of the making of this declaration.

Pursuant to Section 56 of the Civil Defence Act 1983

I, Archibald Campbell Houstoun, hereby terminate the state of Regional Civil Defence Emergency declared in respect of the Milford Riding of the Strathallan County and the district of the Temuka Borough on 11 August 1986.

The termination of the state of Regional Civil Defence Emergency shall take effect from the time and date of the making of this declaration.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

Centrepoint Budget Liquor Store, Tay to Esk Street.
Trade hours will be as currently:
Monday to Thursday 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.–7 p.m.

Where the hours of trade on the evening before a statutory holiday occur the hours shall be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. irrespective of the day which such occasions occur. This shall also apply on the evening prior to Anzac Day.

This wholesale does not operate on statutory holidays.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

Collingwood Budget Liquor Store, North Road.
Trade hours will be as currently:
Monday–Thursday wholesale and retail 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Friday and Saturday wholesale 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
retail 10 a.m.–9 p.m.

Except that:
(1) On Anzac Day the trading hours will be 1 p.m.–7 p.m. should that day fall Monday to Thursday; if this day falls on Friday or Saturday the hours of trade shall be wholesale 1 p.m.–7 p.m. retail 1 p.m.–9 p.m.
(2) On days prior to public holidays the hours of trade shall be wholesale 10 a.m.–7 p.m. retail 10 a.m.–9 p.m., irrespective of the trade day.
(3) On all statutory holidays on which licensed premises are entitled to trade the hours shall be wholesale 10 a.m.–7 p.m. retail 10 a.m.–9 p.m.
