BANKRUPTCY ACT, 1908.

RE CEIVERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that John William Armstrong, of Kaiapoi, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, storekeeper, a debtor within the meaning of the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, has filed in the office of the Official Assignee at Christchurch his statement of assets and liabilities, showing liabilities to the amount of Β£1368 12s. 6d., and no assets, and has applied to be adjudged bankrupt.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO REMOVE LIABILITY.

Pursuant to "The Land for Settlements Acts, 1892 and 1894," and the Acts amending the same.

WELLINGTON-HAWKES BAY.

TAKE NOTICE that it is intended to apply to the Land Purchase Board at its next sitting at Wellington, on the 18th day of May, 1916, for permission to sell to the Crown, under the above-mentioned Acts, the undermentioned lands, and it is requested that any person having any legal objection thereto will lodge the same in writing, with the Clerk of the Board at Wellington, on or before the said 18th day of May, 1916.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 218 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block XI, Mangaohane Survey District.

Also, all that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 388 acres, more or less, being Sections 13 and 14, Block XIII, Kaweka Survey District.

INSOLVENCY ACT, 1908.

In the Insolvent Estate of James Martin, of New Plymouth, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, settler.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above debtor has filed in the office of the Official Assignee at New Plymouth a statement of his assets and liabilities, and has applied to be adjudged insolvent.

WELLINGTON-HAWKES BAY MILITARY SETTLEMENTS.

TAKE NOTICE that it is intended to offer the undermentioned lands for sale to discharged soldiers and sailors, and others, under the provisions of "The Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915."

The applications must be made in the prescribed form to the District Land Commissioner, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on the 31st day of May, 1916.

The terms of payment will be 5 per cent deposit, and the balance by equal yearly or half-yearly instalments, with interest at the rate of 4.5 per cent per annum, extending over a period of 28 years.

For further particulars apply to the District Land Commissioner, Wellington.

LAND BOARD.

WELLINGTON-HAWKES BAY JOINT LAND BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Wellington-Hawkes Bay Joint Land Board will be held at the Land Board Office, Wellington, on Thursday, the 1st day of June, 1916, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, to hear applications for leases under the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1908.

Applications may be obtained at the office of the Land Board, Wellington, or from the Land Purchase Inspectors at Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne.

The Board will also hear applications for advances under "The Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915."
