Kiwifruit Marketing Licensing Regulations 1977—Election of Producer Representatives to the New Zealand Kiwifruit Authority

I hereby give notice that an election will be held to elect 2 members of the New Zealand Kiwifruit Authority, one to represent kiwifruit producers in the Northern Ward, and the other to represent kiwifruit producers in the Southern Ward.

Pursuant to the requirements of the Kiwifruit Marketing Licensing Regulations 1977 (Amendment No. 1) therefore, kiwifruit producers are advised that the electoral roll of producers in the Northern Ward will be available for inspection for 14 days from 27 August 1986, during normal office hours, at the following places: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ offices in Kerikeri, Whangarei, Auckland, Pukekohe, Tauranga and Hamilton; and the Post Office in Katikati and the electoral roll of producers in the Southern Ward will be available for inspection for 14 days from 27 August 1986, during normal office hours, at the following places: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ offices in Hamilton, Palmerston North, Whakatane, Opotiki, Whangamomona, New Plymouth, Levin, Gisborne, Hastings and Motueka; Post Offices in Te Puke (Jellicoe Street), Takaka and in Nelson (Richmond Post Office); and the offices of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers Federation in Wellington.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Public Trust Office Act 1957—Part V

WHEREAS—

(1) James Courtney, late of Makarora, bushman is the registered owner of the property mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

(2) James Courtney is dead.

(3) The Public Trustee having made due inquiry does not know of any agent or administrator of James Courtney in New Zealand with authority to take possession of and administer the property.

(4) The gross value of the property (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed $4,000.

(5) The Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become manager of the property.

Now therefore the Public Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred on him by section 80 (2) of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, hereby elects to be manager of the property under Part V of the said Act.

Dated at Wellington this 7th day of August 1986.

Deer Farming Notice No. 4, 1986

Pursuant to section 12A of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Forests hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Deer Farming Notice No. 4, 1986.

  2. Subject to the provisions of the Wild Animal Control 1977, farming of the species (including crosses and hybrids of such species) of deer specified in the First Schedule hereto is permitted only in those parts of the areas named therein that are not specified in the Second Schedule.

  3. Deer Farming Notice No. 3, 1980, published in the New Zealand Gazette dated 23 April 1980, page 1220, is hereby revoked.


FIRST SCHEDULE

Species Area
Fallow deer North Island, South Island, and Kaikoura Island.
Red deer, wapiti and North Island, South Island, D’Urville Island and Stewart Island.
Pere David’s deer
Rusa deer North Island.
Sambar deer North Island: south of the northern boundary of Franklin County.
Sika deer Rotorua District and Counties of Taupo and Hawke’s Bay and the part of Rangitikei County east of State Highway No. 1 and north of State Highway No. 54.
White tailed deer South Island and Stewart Island.
Black tailed deer North Island.
Any other deer species Such land area as may be specified in a notification to hold for deer farming purposes.

(ii) All that area in the Bay of Islands and Whangarei Counties lying to the east of a line commencing at the mouth of the Waipapa River and proceeding generally south-easterly along the Waipapa River to the Haruru Falls Road, along Haruru Falls Road to the Blackbridge Pa Road, along the Blackbridge Pa Road to No. 10 State Highway, along No. 10 State Highway to the Whakapara-Russell Road, along the Whakapara-Russell Road to and along Pigs Head Road, along the Opuhaunga Whananaki Road to and along Jubileee Road, along Whananaki South Road, and along Whananaki Inlet to the coastline.

(b) All that area in the Waitemata City lying to the south and west of a line commencing at the mouth of the Waitemata Harbour and generally following easterly along Bethells Road up the Waitakere River Valley to Waitakere; thence along the southern side of the Waitakere and Swanson Roads to the intersection of O’Neills Road; thence generally south along O’Neills Road and easterly along Pooks Road to Candia Road, thence generally southwards along Candia Road to Henderson Valley Road; thence generally easterly along Henderson Valley Road and Parrs Cross Road to its intersection with the West Coast Road, thence generally westerly and south by West Coast Road and Shaw Road and Shaw Road to the scenic drive to Titirangi; thence southwards along the South Titirangi Road to Perkins Bay.

(c) All that area in the Franklin County and Manukau City lying to the south, east and north of a line commencing at Kawakawa Bay in the Hauraki Gulf and proceeding generally westerly, southerly and easterly along Kawakawa Road to Clevedon, along Monument Road, Skyhigh Road, White Road, Hunua Road, Paparimu Road and Lyons Road, along No. 2 State Highway to its intersection with Mangatangi Road, along Mangatangi Road to its intersection with Kaiaua Road, along Kaiaua Road to its intersection with the Hauraki Stream, and thence to its mouth.
