Declaring the Auckland, Campbell, Antipodes and Bounty Islands to be National Reserves

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Government House at Wellington this 28th day of July 1986

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Reserves Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the nature reserves described in the Schedule hereto, to be National Reserves, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND ISLANDS

ALL that land in the Southland Land District being that group of islands known as Auckland Islands (including Auckland, Adams, Rose, Disappointment, Enderby, Ewing and all smaller islands within this group), situated in the South Pacific Ocean in approximate latitude 50° 40' south, longitude 166° 00' east. Part New Zealand Gazette. 1910, page 3824 and 1934, page 490. S.O. Plan 5650.

Also, all that land, being the foreshores of that group of islands known as the Auckland Islands, situated in the South Pacific Ocean in approximate latitude 50° 40' south, longitude 166° 00' east. All New Zealand Gazette. 1975, page 2285.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—CAMPBELL ISLANDS

ALL those islands in the South Pacific Ocean known as the Campbell Islands, approximate latitude 52° 39' 49" south and longitude 169° 08' 51" east, being Campbell, Dent, Jacquemart and other offshore islands, including the foreshore of the said islands, more particularly defined on S.O. Plan 10781. All New Zealand Gazettes. 1954, page 1462, 1975, page 2285 and 1985, page 4766.

ALL that land in the Southland Land District being that group of islands known as Antipodes Islands (being Antipodes, Windward, Bollons, Leeward, Orde Less and all smaller islands within this group) including the foreshore of these islands, situated in the South Pacific Ocean in approximate latitude 49° 41' south, longitude 178° 47' east. Part New Zealand Gazettes. 1961, page 1979 and 1975, page 2285. S.O. Plan 9449.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—BOUNTY ISLANDS

ALL that land in the Southland Land District being that group of islands known as Bounty Islands (being the Main Group, Centre Group and the East Group) including the foreshore of these islands, situated in the South Pacific Ocean in approximate latitude 47° 45' south, longitude 179° 03' east. Retention of the Title “The Honourable”

His Excellency the Governor-General has advised that Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the retention of the title “The Honourable” by:

Mr Justice Richard Christopher SAVAGE

on his retirement as a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand on 6 June 1986.

Appointing a Non-Elective Member of the Nelson Catchment Board

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint:

Craig Alan Lawson of Wellington, officer of the Ministry of Works and Development

as a non-elective member of the Nelson Catchment Board for a period of 3 years commencing on the 14th day of August 1986, in place of Derek Stannard Wilshere, as officer of the Ministry of Works and Development.
