Resumption of Duties by the Governor-General
His Excellency the Governor-General announces that he returned from London at 5.05 p.m. on Saturday, 26 July and has resumed the performance of all the functions of the office of Governor-General.
Accordingly, the Right Honourable Sir Ronald Keith Davison, G.B.E., C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, who assumed office as the Administrator of the Government as from 12.05 p.m. on the 20th day of July 1986 (as evidenced by a notice published in the Gazette* and dated the 21st day of July 1986), has relinquished office as the Administrator of the Government. (By Command).
