✨ Import Licence Tendering Results

2200 THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE No. 91

General Notes

ROUND 21 of import licence tendering included tenders under various industry development plans and two products included under the general tenders scheme. The Call for Tenders issued in February 1985 is repeated with the results published in the Gazette to allow ease of cross reference. Results of the tender were notified to individual bidders in letters posted on 4 April 1985; invoices were dispatched on 22 April 1985 and are payable by 21 October 1985; the import licences are valid from 22 April 1985 to 21 April 1986.

A 5-day period was allowed between the notification of individual results and their confirmation. During that time some errors were discovered by bidders and adjustments have been made to the original results. Those affected by the changes have been notified.

Residual Licence

WHERE not all the licence available was bid for, the results show the number of units left over. The results also show the weighted average premium in rounded dollars at which these licences are available. These residual licences are available on request. Application forms will be posted to all on the Tenders Register and forms may be obtained from any office of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Applications for residual licence in terms of paragraph 39 of the Guide to Global Import Licence Tendering close on 13 June 1985 at 5 p.m. All such applications must reach the Registrar of Tenders, P.O. Box 3146, Wellington by that time and date. Envelopes should be marked "Round 21 Residual" on the bottom right hand corner.

Where demand for licence exceeds supply the computer is programmed to make a random selection. Results will be notified as soon as possible by letter. Payment should not be made until invoices are received. Payment should preferably be by bank cheque to avoid the 15 working day clearance for other cheques. Licence still left over after this allocation of residuals will be available on request. Please refer to paragraphs 38 to 44 inclusive in the Guide Notes.

Manufacturers that have accepted an allocation in terms of the plan, and any subsidiary, are not eligible to tender.
