Notice of Approval of Sirens in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

NOTICE

PURSUANT to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, Sirens of the make and type specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 69 (3) and 69 (4) of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

SIRENS manufactured by Bosch of Germany and marked with either:

  1. 12 volt 375 HZ 0320223002, or,
  2. 12 volt 500 HZ 0320223002.

Pursuant to power delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an instrument of delegation dated the 24th day of August 1984.

LPG Fuel System Approval

PURSUANT to regulation 90B of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Robert Norman Abram, Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the First Schedule hereto for inclusion only in the LPG fuel system of the 2 vehicles listed in the Second Schedule hereto which in all other respects are installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422 Part 1, 1980 (and any standard made in amendment thereto or in substitution therefore) subject to the conditions (if any) set out in respect of any component in the said Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE

LPG fuel tanks which comply with the Japanese High Pressure Gas Control Law for motor vehicles of material to Class 1 (symbol S.G. 26) of JIS G3116, with material thickness of 3.2 mm.

SECOND SCHEDULE

DETAIL of the 2 vehicles are as follows:

  1. Mazda 929 Chassis HBE P–104307.
    Tank manufacturer KYK (Trade Mark). Dated 17 July 1984. Code VTF 4274, V 94 W 35.4. Regulator Nikki 268078/961.

  2. Mazda 626 Chassis GC8P–145690.
    Tank manufacturer KYK (Trade Mark). Dated 26 January 1984. Code VTD 18036, V 90 W 34.3. Regulator Nikki 268078/961.

This approval shall be limited for the period up to and including 30 September 1985.

CNG Fuel System Approvals

PURSUANT to regulation 90B of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Robert Norman Abram, Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for inclusion in any CNG fuel system installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand NZS 5422 Part 2, 1980 (and any standard made in amendment thereto or in substitution therefore).

AFC11 006 Koltec Model DG-283 three stage regulator manufactured by Koltec B.V. of the Netherlands under their MOT approval-reference RDW DG283 0501.
