Round 26 of the import licence tendering scheme was for the tender of those goods shown in the call for tenders as reproduced below.
Where residual licence is available the number of units and the weighted average price at which they may be obtained is shown in the results section after each tender number. Applications for such residual licence may be made on form T & I 335E which is obtainable from any office of the Department of Trade and Industry. Applications should be made within 3 weeks of the latest date shown on the cover of this New Zealand Gazette. Licence remaining thereafter may be obtained on request at the same weighted average price.
ROUND 26: CALL FOR TENDERS WHICH CLOSED ON 29 JULY 1985
MOTOR VEHICLE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN—2ND ALLOCATION
INTRODUCTION

The Motor Vehicle Industry Development Plan, announced on 12 December 1984, provides for the tendering of a gradually increasing percentage of the local production of motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts and accessories over a period of 4 years.

This is the second call of tenders under the Plan.

The call is for tenders for built-up vehicles in five classes and built-up chassis and motor vehicle bodies.

The value being tendered for vehicles having a rated gross laden weight up to 3500 kg, 3500–10 500 kg, and exceeding 10 500 kg, and special purpose vehicles in a 6 month allocation. There will be third call for tenders in January 1986.

The value being tendered for prime movers, built-up chassis and bodies is a twelve month allocation to cover the first year of the Plan. In future these goods will be tendered, in 6 month allocations. The next call for tenders will be in January 1986.

In all cases, licences can be used to import either new or used goods.
