New Zealand Railways Corporation General Scale of Charges Notice: Amendment No. 12

PURSUANT to the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981, the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby makes the following alterations and additions to the General Scale of Charges dated the 9th day of July 1982*, and hereby declares that such alterations and additions shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1985.

  1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON ALL SERVICES

2.9.1 Concession
In the third line after the words “at half the adult fare which in the case of” insert the word “Wellington”.

Omit 2.10.2 and substitute:

2.10.2 Beneficiaries:
On presentation in person of a valid Department of Social Welfare Certificate of Entitlement endorsed as available for fare concessions on Corporation long distance passenger services, beneficiaries may be issued ordinary single tickets for travel by themselves at the fare applicable to children four years of age and under 15 years of age or in the case of the Cook Strait rail ferry services at the schedule of concession fares set out in clause 9.2.5. This concession may be issued to the spouse of an eligible beneficiary if they both travel together. It will not be available if the spouse travels alone.

  1. RAIL SEASON TICKETS

Clause 7.2.1 Conditions:
Omit the charge of $36.40 in the line of this clause and substitute $45.50.

  1. SUBURBAN RAIL FARES

Clause 8.3.1 Adult Single Fares
Omit the table of fares and substitute:
