General Notes

TENDERS for Round 25 of the import licence tendering scheme closed on 24 June 1985. Tender No. 3319 and 3320 were withdrawn pending discussions with the industry. Tender No. 3353 to 3358 inclusive are for licences valid for the period July to December 1985 only.

Residual Licence

WHERE not all licence available was bid for, the results show the number of units left over and the weighted average price at which these units are available.

Application forms for residual licence have from time to time been posted to those on the Register of Tenderers and additional forms may be obtained from any office of the Department of Trade and Industry.

In terms of paragraph 39 of the Guide to Global Import Licence Tendering a period of 3 weeks from the latest date of this Gazette is provided for applications to be lodged. Applications must reach the Registrar of Tenders, P.O. Box 3146, Wellington by 5 p.m. on that date. Envelopes should be marked "Round 25 Residual" on the bottom right hand corner.

Licences will be valid until 31 August 1986 for all residuals except for tender No. 3356 which will be valid to December 1985.

Results will be notified as soon as possible by letter. Payment should preferably be by bank cheque to avoid the 15 working day delay in the clearance of other cheques. Licence still left over after this initial allocation will be available on request but will not qualify for continuity licence. Please refer to paragraphs 38 to 44 inclusive of the Guide Notes.

TEXTILE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
(Apparel Tendering Scheme)

LICENCES for tenders under this heading will be valid from 1 September 1985 to 31 August 1986 and provision may be made for the extension of that period to 30 September 1986 where warranted.

Extensions of up to 2 months will be considered for licences won in Round 15 of apparel tendering.

Invoices for this current round will be dated 1 September and will be payable by 1 March 1986. Consideration will be given to licences being paid for and used before 1 September 1985.
