In the notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 July 1985, No. 130, page 2993, for "(CT G3/692)" and "(CT G3/691)" read "(CT G3/962)" and "(CT G3/961)".

The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Notice 1985

PURSUANT to section 61 (2) (b) of the Electoral Act 1956, the Chief Registrar of Electors hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Title and commencementโ€”(1) This notice may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Notice 1985.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. Date for closing of main rollsโ€”The main roll for every general electoral district and for every Maori electoral district shall close on the 4th day of October 1985.

Dated at Wellington this 2nd day of September 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice closes, as at 4 October 1985, the main rolls for all electoral districts. This enables the main rolls to be printed and published as at that date. They will then be available to the public for checking.

The Electoral Act 1956 requires that this printing of the rolls be done at least once in each year.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.

REGULAR FORCE

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Lieutenant Colonel P. J. Calvert is re-engaged until 19 December 1986.

Major A. D. Ross to be acting Lieutenant Colonel with effect from 4 June 1985 and temp. Lieutenant Colonel with effect from 2 July 1985.

Supernumerary List

Captain John Philip Bellamy is posted to the Retired List with effect from 6 July 1985.
