(3) In this clause the term “explosive” has the same meaning as
in the Explosives Act 1957.

  1. Authorised lures and baits—No licence holder shall fish for
    acclimatised fish with any bait or lure other than artificial or natural
    fly, insect, crustacea, minnow, fish (excluding fish ova or any
    portion of a fish or any shellfish (mollusca)), uncoloured bread dough,
    or artificial mice or frogs.

  2. Daily limit bag—(1) No licence holder shall on any one day
    take or have in his possession more than 7 trout or salmon.
    (2) Notwithstanding subclause (1) of this clause no licence holder
    shall on any one day take or have in his possession more than—
    (a) 1 salmon:
    (b) 6 trout of which trout not more than 2 may be taken from
    either the Murray Creek, Harris Creek or Duck Creek and
    not more than 1 rainbow trout may be taken in the Arnold
    River Catchment which includes Lake Brunner, Lake
    Poerua, Orangipuku River, Crooked River and any other
    tributaries of these rivers:
    (2) No licence holder shall continue to use a rod and running line
    to take trout or salmon on any day on which he has already taken
    7 trout or salmon.

(3) It shall be permissible to make up the difference between a
lesser limit bag prescribed in one place and a higher limit bag
prescribed in another place.

  1. Minimum size to be taken—(1) There shall be no minimum
    size limit for either trout or salmon except that in the waters of
    Lake Mapourika no licence holder shall take or have in his
    possession any trout which does not exceed 25 cm in length or any
    salmon which does not exceed 30 cm in length.
    (2) Every licence holder taking a trout or salmon which does not
    exceed the specified length shall immediately return it with as little
    injury as possible into the water from which it was taken.

  2. Revocation—The notice published in the supplement to
    Gazette No. 183 of Thursday, 11 October 1984, on pages 4289-
    4290 titled District Anglers (West Coast and Westland
    Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1984, is hereby revoked.
