Revocation of a Notice Relating to Declaring Crown Land at
Carter’s Beach to be Set Apart for State Housing Purposes and
Issue of a Fresh Notice

PURSUANT to the Housing Act 1955 and by reason of an error made in the notice hereinafter described, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the notice dated the 16th day of November 1983 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 24 November 1983, No. 196, page 4076 and hereby issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Declaring Crown Land at Carter’s Beach to be Set Apart for State Housing Purposes

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Housing Act 1955, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the Crown land, described in the Schedule hereto, to be set apart as State housing land.

Rates of Vegetables Levy Determined (No. 3547; Ag. 4/54/12)

PURSUANT to section 3(4) of the Vegetables Levy Act 1957, on the recommendation of the New Zealand Vegetable Growers’ Federation Incorporated, I determine the rate of vegetables levy payable in respect of vegetables purchased from a vegetable grower for purposes other than processing or canning to be 0.375 of one percent of the price at which the vegetables are purchased.

Exemption From Warrant of Fitness in Matakana Island, Tauranga

PURSUANT to regulation 85(6) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the Minister of Transport hereby exempts from the provisions of regulation 85(1) of the said regulations, only as it applies to the requirement to carry a warrant of fitness, any motor vehicle while operated solely within the island described in the Schedule hereto.

Grant of Franchise—Gas Act 1982

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 24 of the Gas Act 1982, that the Minister of Energy has granted applications and extended the following franchises to include:

  1. Hawera Gas Company Limited. All that area within the Taranaki region comprising the Boroughs of Eltham, Patea, Stratford, the Counties of Egmont, Eltham, Patea, Stratford, Waimate West, the District of Hawera and the Town Districts of Manaia and Waverley.

  2. New Plymouth City Council. All that area within the Taranaki region comprising the Boroughs of Inglewood, Waitara, the Counties of Taranaki, Clifton, Inglewood and the City of New Plymouth, excluding Egmont National Park.

  3. The franchises shall come into effect 60 days from an agreement being reached or a decision being given under the Arbitration Act 1908, pursuant to section 29 of the Gas Act 1982.

Cancellation of Registration as a Teacher
