Amend Goods Service Licence No. 10467 by the addition of 9 vehicles for the cartage of: (1)(a) frozen products in the No. 2, 3, 4, 5A and 5B goods Service Districts. (b) Eggs and empty containers in the No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 6 and 7 Goods Service Districts. (c) Perishable foodstuffs requiring refrigeration in the No. 2, 3, 4, 5A and 5B Goods Service Districts. (a)(b) and (c)—Exempt from section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962. (2) Delete in condition (c) the words "the weight of any consignment of any one foodstuff shall not exceed 2 tonnes".

Foster), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ninth Floor, Customhouse, Quay Street, Auckland at the time and date stated to hear evidence for or against granting them.

(A) Amend the above licences by the addition of one motor vehicle and one trailer with exemption from section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 throughout New Zealand for the carriage of—
(a) Plant and tools of trade for use in connection with the installation or dismantling of machinery.
(b) Second hand machinery for installation or extraction by Freightways Express Limited.
(c) Consignments which by reason of their dimensions are certified in writing by New Zealand Railways Corporation as being over gauge for transport by rail. The certificate shall be carried with the consignment and produced to any Ministry of Transport Traffic Officer on demand.
(d) Electrical transformers.
(e) Consignments of which a single component not readily divisible is of a minimum lift of 30 tonnes.
(f) Machines of which a single component has a minimum lift of 18 tonnes and integral parts thereof carried on the same vehicle or on a following vehicle.
(B) Exempt from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 as amended throughout the North Island for the transport of—
(a) Machines of which a single component has a minimum lift of 4 tonnes and integral parts thereof carried on the same vehicle or on a following vehicle.
(b) Machines of which a single component has a minimum lift of 7 tonnes and integral parts thereof carried on the same vehicle or on a following vehicle.
(c) Pre-stressed concrete beams.
(d) Machines of which a single component has a minimum lift of 4 tonnes and integral parts thereof.
(e) Complete machines for installation or such complete machines as have been extracted for return purposes and which do not exceed 4 tonnes in weight.
(f) Laminated timber products.
(C) Exempt from the respective weight restrictions when carrying integral parts of the parent load—
(a) The term "machines" shall include integral parts thereof but shall exclude material of whatever nature used in its erection, operation and maintenance.
(b) The term "machine" for the purpose of this licence shall be defined as an apparatus for applying mechanical power and shall include a "vehicle" as defined by section 2 of the Transport Act 1962.
At all times while the licensee is operating a goods service requiring an exemption from section 109 of the Transport Act 1962 in terms of paragraph (A), (B) or (C) hereof, he shall carry a current rail exemption certificate or authorities in the name of Freightways Express Ltd. appropriate to the journey and class of goods being carried.
G2/528 C. & D. Webster Ltd: Amend Goods Service Licence No. 17541 by amending the existing special conditions to read—
One motor vehicle with exemption from section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of own chilled, frozen and dry pot food. The goods shall be carried in an insulated van not exceeding 10 tonnes payload. The maximum quantity of dry goods shall not exceed 2000 kilograms. All goods to be carried for sale directly from the van to retail outlets. Areas 1, 2 and 3 Goods Service Districts.

One motor vehicle with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of own parts, cleaners, cleaning solvent, accessory parts and equipment. Area—No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 Goods Service Districts.
Three motor vehicles with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of own parts, cleaners, cleaning solvent, accessory parts and equipment. Area—No. 5A, 5B, 6 and 7 Goods Service Districts.
G2/464 Mesco Liquid Air Ltd.: Amend Goods Service Licence No. 18401 by the addition of 3-motor vehicles and 2 trailers with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of the licensee's own liquid carbon dioxide (CO²) on licensee's own road tanker type vehicles. Area—from the licensee's own depots and any other points of supply of bulk liquid CO² to any point in the North Island.
Special Conditions
(1) The exemption under section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall only apply to carriage of up to 250 tonnes per annum to any point from Auckland.
(2) The licensee shall furnish to the Regional Secretary of the Ministry of Transport in Auckland a quarterly return of the tonnage of liquid CO² delivered to each centre.
G2/430 Kevin Harold Pengelly: Amend Goods Transport Service Licence No. 03529 by the addition of one motor vehicle with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of fruit drinks and fruit juices manufactured by the Apple and Pear Marketing Board for distribution to retail outlets. Area from Auckland to any point in the No. 1 and 2. Goods Service Districts.
