Import Licence Tenders

PURSUANT to the Import Control Regulations 1973 (S.R. 1980/246) the Secretary of Trade and Industry, acting under delegated authority is calling tenders for the goods specified below. Tenders close on 29 July 1985 at 5 p.m. and must be received by the Registrar of Tenders by then to be valid.

Instructions for tenderers and the general terms and conditions which apply to the submission and acceptance of tenders are set out in the Guide to Licence Tendering dated November 1984. Tenders should be addressed to the Registrar of Tenders, P.O. Box 3146, Wellington, or be delivered by hand to the First Floor of the Bowen State Building, Wellington. Tenders for Round 26 should reach the Registrar no later than 5 p.m. on 29 July 1985.

NOTE:

  1. Tenderers should refer to the Customs Tariff and the Import Licensing Schedule for a definitive description of the goods included in the list below.
  2. Tenderers should be conversant with the various statutes and regulations which importing enterprises are obliged to comply with.
  3. Bids should be entered on the buff bid form T. & I. 335C. They may be sent in one envelope. The envelope must be marked Import Licence Tender.

MOTOR VEHICLE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN—2ND ALLOCATION

INTRODUCTION

  1. The Motor Vehicle Industry Development Plan, announced on 12 December 1984, provides for the tendering of a gradually increasing percentage of the local production of motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts and accessories over a period of 4 years.
  2. This is the second call of tenders under the Plan.
  3. The call is for tenders for built-up vehicles in five classes and built-up chassis and motor vehicle bodies.
  4. The value being tendered for vehicles having a rated gross laden weight up to 3500 kg, 3500–10 500 kg, and exceeding 10 500 kg, and special purpose vehicles in a 6 month allocation. There will be third call for tenders in January 1986.
  5. The value being tendered for prime movers, built-up chassis and bodies is a twelve month allocation to cover the first year of the Plan. In future these goods will be tendered, in 6 month allocations. The next call for tenders will be in January 1986.
  6. In all cases, licences can be used to import either new or used goods.
