Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the High Court was, on the 22nd day of May 1985, presented to the said Court by Development Finance Corporation of New Zealand; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Timaru on Tuesday the 16th day of July 1985 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the City of New Plymouth taken on the 8th day of June 1985 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $2,750,000 to be known as the Kawarua Pool Redevelopment Loan 1984 for the purpose of redeveloping the Kawarua Swimming Pool by enclosing the main pool, diving pool and learners’ pool, providing additional facilities including hydro-slides and all other works ancillary to those works, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,426.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 6,959.
The number of informal votes was 174.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

NELSON COLLEGE EMPOWERING BILL PROPOSED PRIVATE ACT
TAKE notice that the Council of Governors of Nelson College intends to apply for leave to promote a Private Act of Parliament which has the following objectives:
(a) To sell or otherwise dispose of the land described below by private treaty, public tender or in such other manner as it thinks fit on such terms and conditions as it thinks fit.
(b) To apply the proceeds of the sale or other disposal towards the costs of building and equipping a new gymnasium at Nelson College.
(c) To empower the District Land Registrar to register a Transfer of the land pursuant to the sale or other disposal.
(d) The land referred to is all that parcel of land situated in the City of Nelson containing 1170 square metres, more or less, being Lots 2 and 11, Deposited Plan 110 and being also part Section 916, City of Nelson and all land in certificate of title, Volume 23, folio 115 (Nelson Land Registry) and all that parcel of land situated in the City of Nelson containing 3945 square metres, more or less, being Lots 2, 12 and 13, Deposited Plan 109 and part of Section 916, City of Nelson and all the land comprised in and described in certificate of title, Volume 23, folio 175 (Nelson Land Registry).
The promoter of the Bill is the Council of Governors of Nelson College whose postal address is 27 Shelbourne Street Nelson (P.O. Box 444, Nelson) to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent.
A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected during week days between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the offices of the Council of Governors of Nelson College at 27 Shelbourne Street Nelson.

have pleasure in reporting to members on the state of affairs and submitting the Financial Statements for the year ended 30 September 1984, of Westpac Savings Bank - N.Z. - Limited.
Profit:
Tax paid profit amounted to $1,959,000, an increase of 326 percent over the previous year’s figure of $460,000.
Activity of the Savings Bank continued to decline as interest rate constraints and the comparatively high Government Security investment ratio inhibited our ability to compete for deposits.
The reduced level of activity resulted in a significant reduction in operating expenses reimbursed to Westpac Banking Corporation.
Dividend:
No dividend is to be paid for this year.

AUDITORS’ REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF WESTPAC SAVINGS BANK - N.Z. - LIMITED
We have obtained all the information and explanations that we have required. In our opinion proper accounting records have been kept by the Bank so far as appears from our examination of those records.
In our opinion, according to the best of our information and the explanations given to us and as shown by the said records the financial statements on pages 3–6 are properly drawn up so as to give a true and fair view of the state of the Bank’s affairs as at 30 September 1984 and the results of its business and changes in financial position for the year ended on that date.
According to such information and explanations the financial statements give the information required by the Companies Act 1955 in the manner so required.
