Declaring Land to be Crown Land

DAVID BEATTIE, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby declare the said land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of land situated in Block I, Ahikereru Survey District and described as follows:

and being part of the land contained in certificate of

Appointment of Members to the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services

PURSUANT to sections 4 and 5 of the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services Act 1977, the Minister of Local Government hereby appoints the following persons to be members of the Joint Council for Local Authorities Services with terms of office to commence on 1 October 1984 and expire on 30 September 1987:

Alan David Talbot of Timaru

on the joint nomination of the Municipal Association of New Zealand Incorporated, the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated, the Auckland Regional Authority, and any Regional Councils.

Hugh Evan Claude Philbert of Wellington

on the nomination of the 9 other employer members on the Joint Council.

District Court Judge Appointed

PURSUANT to section 10 of the District Courts Act 1947, and section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974, and section 23 of the Inland Revenue Department Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Lindsay Hugh Moore, barrister and solicitor of Rotorua

to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Court, and to be a Taxation Review Authority.
