Result of Election of Members to the Dental Council of New Zealand

Pursuant to the Dental Regulations 1964, I, Kenneth Albert George Hindes, the Returning Officer for the purpose of these regulations, hereby give the following notice with respect to the elections of persons to the Dental Council of New Zealand under paragraphs (d) and (e) of section 3 (2) of the Dental Act 1963.

  1. The result of the poll of the dentists whose registered addresses are in the North Island was as follows:

I therefore declare Dexter Darcy Bambery and Paul Frewen Swinburn to be elected to the Council for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1985.

  1. There being only 1 person nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the South Island, I hereby declare the person nominated, namely, Donald George Green, to be elected to the Council for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1985.

Appointment of Permanent Member of the Urban Transport Council

Pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Urban Transport Act 1980, the Secretary of the Auckland Regional Authority hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

Written notice has been given to the Minister of Transport, that the person specified in the Schedule hereto has been appointed as a permanent deputy of member Mr Anthony Covic of the Urban Transport Council established pursuant to the Urban Transport Act 1980 by the bodies specified in the Schedule hereto pursuant to section 14 (1) of the said Act.

Urban Transport Council Appointment

Pursuant to clause 2 of the Schedule to the Urban Transport Act 1980, as amended by the Urban Transport Amendment Act 1985, the Canterbury United Council gives notice that Oscar Thorwald Alpers, a member of the Canterbury United Council, has been appointed as permanent deputy to Melvyn Ewell Foster on the Urban Transport Council by all regional authorities jointly.

Appointment of Judges of High Court

Pursuant to section 4 of the Judicature Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint

Anthony Arthur Travers Ellis, one of Her Majesty's Counsel, of Wellington
to be a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand, and further to appoint

Neil William Williamson, barrister, of Christchurch
to be a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand and to assign precedence to the Honourable Neil William Williamson next after the Honourable Anthony Travers Ellis.

Appointment of Small Claims Tribunal Referee

Pursuant to section 7 of the Small Claims Tribunals Act 1976, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

to be a Referee to exercise the jurisdiction of the Small Claims Tribunal at Hamilton for a term of 3 years on and from the date hereof.

Appointment of Deputy Member of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Licensing Board

Pursuant to section 6B of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act 1975, as inserted by the Motor Vehicle Dealers Amendment Act 1979, the Minister of Justice has been pleased to appoint

Brian Robert Waugh, Chief Executive Officer, of Levin
as a deputy member of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Licensing Board for a period ending 30 September 1985 on and from the date thereof.
