At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of June 1985

THE RIGHT HON. DAVID LANGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the Auckland Protected Employment Trust Order 1985.

  2. Exemption—The Auckland Protected Employment Trust, an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at 11–13 Laureston Avenue, Papatoetoe from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981.

  1. Revocation—The Order in Council† dated the 27th day of July 1981 granting exemptions in respect of the sheltered workshop situated at 11 Laureston Avenue, Papatoetoe is hereby revoked.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the Rehabilitation League N.Z. (Incorporated), Hawke's Bay Branch Order 1985.

  2. Exemption—The Hawke's Bay Branch of the Rehabilitation League N.Z. (Incorporated) , an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, under its former name of Disabled Re-established League (Incorporated) is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at Burness Road, Hastings, Hawke's Bay from—

(a) Section 35 of the Agricultural Workers Act 1977 in so far as it gives effect to any provision of any award or agreement under that Act relating to remuneration, holidays and the keeping of wages and holiday books;

(b) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in the workshop;

(c) The Holidays Act 1981, the Minimum Wage Act 1945, section 48 of the Agricultural Workers Act 1977 and section 219 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander Francis Gilbert George is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 1 May 1987, with effect from 2 May 1985.

Lieutenant Commander (temp. Commander) Geoffrey John Bourke, M.B.E., DIP. MGT., is placed on the Retired List in the rank of Commander, with effect from 7 May 1985.

Lieutenant Commander (acting Commander) Christopher Frank Bryant is placed on the Retired List in the rank of Commander, with effect from 16 May 1985.

Lieutenant Commander D. D. J. Pomcroy to be acting Commander with effect from 29 April 1985 and temp. Commander with effect from 3 May 1985.

Lieutenant Commander Bryan Charles Petley is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 3 May 1987, with effect from 4 May 1985.

Lieutenant Commander D. J. Davidson to be temp. Commander with effect from 2 April 1985.

Lieutenant Commander D. F. Kerr to be temp. Commander with effect from 19 April 1985.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander David Baggaaley is terminated with effect from 27 April 1985.

Lieutenant Commander Peter Harold Bosworth, B.SC., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 23 August 1987, with effect from 17 April 1985.

Lieutenant Commander Barry John Stevens is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 7 September 1986, with effect from 25 March 1985.

Surgeon Lieutenant P. D. Galloway, M.B., CH.B., DIP. OBST., to be Surgeon Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 31 May 1985.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) M. J. Millar to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 4 April 1985.

Lieutenant T. R. Rae, N.Z.C.E (TELECOMMS), to be temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 31 May 1985.

Lieutenant L. C. J. Somervell to be temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 15 May 1985.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) N. G. Catley, DIP. F.M. (HONS); the notice published in the Gazette, 21 March 1985, No. 47, page 1224, is cancelled and the following substituted: Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) Neal Grant Catley, DIP. F.M. (HONS), is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 3 February 1987, with effect from 4 February 1985.

Lieutenant Clive Andrew Holmes is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 31 May 1989, with effect from 1 June 1985.

Lieutenant Janet Christine Hayman, B.SC., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 25 April 1989, with effect from 26 April 1985.

Sub Lieutenant W. B. Burton to be Lieutenant with seniority from 28 February 1983 and effect from 10 April 1985.

Sub Lieutenant S. J. Butcher to be Lieutenant with seniority from 30 October 1984 and effect from 12 November 1984.

Sub Lieutenant (on prob.) Owen Richard Hobbs is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 4 April 1989, with effect from 5 April 1985.
