PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the sales held on 16 January at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch was 380.36 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).

As this price is above the Wool Board’s Substitute Payment Scheme minimum wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) no supplement is payable on wool until further notice.

There is likewise no grower retention levy payable in terms of section 42 of the Wool Industry Act 1977, as the AWASP is less than the ruling trigger price of 500 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Lawrence Borough Special Sewage Rating Area taken on the 16th day of January 1985 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $540,000 (or that portion of the loan not funded by Ratepayers Capital Contribution) to be known as Sewage Loan 1983, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 140
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 34
The number of informal votes was Nil
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.
