  1. One rail exemption certificate may issue exempting the licensee from the provisions of section 109 of the Transport Act 1962 for carriage in the No. 1 to 11 Transport Districts (inclusive) of:

(a) Licensees own packing materials.

(b) Computerised equipment including data processing, word processing, reprographic video and electronic equipment and switchboards in an uncrated condition. The term “computerised equipment” as used above does not include the domestic type of electrical goods such as television sets, radios, stereograms, video cassette recorders and calculators.

The type of vehicle to be used under the terms of this exemption shall be a pantechinc.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Marlborough Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Marlborough Licensing Committee on 16 May 1985 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Starborough Tavern, Seddon.

To the intent that on days other than those on which the licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows—

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Commerce Act 1975

NOTICE is hereby given of decision No. 129 of the Commerce Commission dated 30 May 1985. By this decision the Commission declined to consent to the merger or takeover proposal whereby Goodman Group Limited sought approval to acquire up to 47 percent of the shareholding in Mount Cook Group Limited.

The full text of this decision is available for inspection at the Commission’s offices, Sixth Floor, 163 The Terracc, Wellington. Copies may be purchased on application to the Commission, P.O. Box 10-273, Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 17 May 1985 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the The Regent, Auckland and specifies that this order shall only apply to those parts of the said premises known as “The Lobby Lounge”, “The Lobby Bar” and “The Swanson Street Bar.”

To the intent that on days other than those on which the licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows—

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
