No. 80
(a) Elected staff and student members shall serve out their terms of office;
(b) Members appointed on the nomination of the organisations which will reduce their representation shall retain membership until new appointments are made;
(c) Notwithstanding (b) above, no member appointed by the Minister shall retain membership beyond the normal expiry date for his or her appointment without being reappointed by the Minister.
- The Wellington Teachers College Notice 1975* and the Wellington Teachers College Amendment Notice 1980† are hereby revoked.

Palmerston North Teachers College Council Notice 1984
PURSUANT to section 67B of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(1) This notice may be cited as the Palmerston North Teachers College Council Notice 1984.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette. -
(1) There shall be a governing body for the Palmerston North Teachers College which shall be known as the Palmerston North Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Principal of the Palmerston North Teachers College;
(b) One officer of the Department of Education to be appointed by the Minister of Education;
(c) One member of the Wanganui Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Wanganui Education Board;
(d) One member of the Taranaki Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Taranaki Education Board;
(e) One member of the Hawkes Bay Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Hawkes Bay Education Board;
(f) Two members appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Council of Massey University;
(g) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Central Districts Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards Association;
(h) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the National Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute;
(i) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Executive of the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers Association;
(j) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the joint nomination of the Local Free Kindergarten Associations of Ward Nos 3 and 5 of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union Incorporated;
(k) One member being a member of the academic staff of the Palmerston North Teachers College, elected by the academic staff at the college;
(l) One member being a student of the Palmerston North Teachers College elected by the students at the college;
(m) Not more than 2 members to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Palmerston North Teachers College Council, each being a person who in the opinion of the Council has special knowledge and experience of education or who has a special interest in cultural and educational activities.
(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Minister of Education may appoint additional members to the Palmerston North Teachers College Council.
(3) The members of the Teachers College Council elected or appointed to hold office in accordance with this notice shall do so in the manner prescribed by sections 67E, 67F, 67G and 67H of the Education Act 1964.
- The following provisions will apply with regard to members serving on the Council immediately prior to the publication of this notice.
(a) Elected staff and student members shall serve out their terms of office;

Hamilton Teachers College Council Notice 1984
PURSUANT to section 67B of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(1) This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Teachers College Council Notice 1984.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette. -
(1) There shall be a governing body for the Hamilton Teachers College which shall be known as the Hamilton Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Principal of the Hamilton Teachers College;
(b) One officer of the Department of Education appointed by the Minister of Education;
(c) One member of the Hamilton Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Hamilton Education Board;
(d) Two members appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Council of the University of Waikato;
(e) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Waikato and Eastern District Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards Association;
(f) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the National Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute;
(g) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Executive of the New Zealand Post-Primary Teachers Association;
