The Traffic (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1984
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Secretary of Transport, I. Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:
NOTICE
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1984.
The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The traffic notice “Declaring an Area to be Closely Populated Locality”, dated the 14th day of December 1938†, issued pursuant to section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1938 is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Cook County at Tolaga Bay.
No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa):
From a point 40 metres measured northerly generally along the said Highway.
From Banks Street to a point 50 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said Highway from its junction with Hauiti Road.
Adventure Street.
Banks Street.
Discovery Street.
Endeavour Street.
Ferneaux Avenue.
Forester Road: from a point 50 metres measured westerly generally from Ferneaux Avenue to Ferneaux Avenue.

Notice of Approval of Alternative Types of Seat Belts for Certain Motor Vehicles
NOTICE
PURSUANT to regulation 78 (1A) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, and pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I. Glen Liversage, Assistant Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the fitting in the seating positions specified in the Schedule hereto of the alternative types of seat belts specified in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
In respect of any Toyota Hilux 850 double cab model YN 65 KRP (with a frame serial number included in the list below):
Two point lap seat belts of an approved type for the use of the rear seat passenger nearest the left side of the vehicle and the rear seat passenger nearest the right side of the vehicle.

Declaration of Vehicle With Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle
PURSUANT to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an instrument of delegation dated the 29th day of September 1983, the Chief Controller Land Transport Policy hereby declares that the vehicle described in the Schedule attached hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
The 3-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls and a 1200cc Volkswagen engine bearing the engine No. FO 201606, built in 1983 by Ricky Neil of Waiuku.

CNG Fuel Systems Approval of Components for Experimental Purposes
NOTICE
PURSUANT to regulation 90c of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I. Robert Norman Abram, Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for experimental purposes, subject to the conditions set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
The CNG variable regulator manufactured by Diesel Gas Ltd. of Lower Hutt to drawing No. DIS 002 or DG 001 and bearing the marking “DIS 002” when fitted to the 1983 Isuzu heavy goods service vehicle registered No. LF 3307.
Provided that all other components of the CNG fuel system fitted to the said vehicle are comprised of components approved for use in CNG fuel systems and are installed in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422, Part 2, 1980.
This approval for experimental purposes shall be limited for the period up to and including 31 July 1984.
