NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER PUBLIC WORKS
ACT 1981
NOTICE is hereby given that under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1981, the Christchurch Drainage Board proposes to take
the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of laying
drain pipes as part of its drainage work in the general area of the
land. The land was originally and is currently used as a drain and
such a drain is essential in the area. The registered owner of the
land has long since abandoned it and accordingly negotiations for
further drainage works proposed are impossible. It is consequently
essential for the land to be taken.
Notice is hereby further given that all persons wishing to object
to the taking of the above-mentioned land may do so by written
notice of their objection sent to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal,
Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Post Centre,
Wellington within 20 working days after the publication of this notice
in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land known as the Riccarton Main Drain and
running from Mandeville Street along the south side of the property
known as No. 71, Mandeville Street and being the balance land in
Deeds Index C/145. (Canterbury Land Registry).

PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978,
notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale
Price for the sale held on the 12th day of April 1984 at Napier was
299.21 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).
As this price is below the Government's supplementary minimum
wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) the specified
percentage for supplementation will be 6.9 percent for all wool sold
at auction and nationally for privately sold wool from and including
