IN the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter of the LES WOOD MASONIC TRUST INCORPORATED:
TAKE notice that at 10 o'clock in the forenoon on the 3rd day of May 1984, pursuant to Part III of the above-mentioned Act the Les Wood Masonic Trust Incorporated will apply to the High Court at Auckland for an order approving a scheme varying the trusts declared in a deed dated the 29th day of September 1970 and made between Leslie Edwin Wilkie Wood the settlor of the one part and John Addis Redwood and others (therein called "the Council") of the other part, upon the grounds that income has accrued and will accrue in excess of the needs of the purposes of the said trusts. The scheme provides for an alteration in the amounts of and the methods by which income may be paid or applied by the said council to the trustees of the Chevalier Lodge No. 303, the trustees of Lodge Tamaki No. 328 and the Almoners Association respectively and also that in lieu of accumulating in each year any surplus income as an accretion to the capital of the trust funds the council shall pay or apply one moiety of any such surplus income to or for such non-masonic charities or charitable purposes as it shall think fit and shall pay or apply the other such moiety to or for such masonic or non-masonic charities or charitable purposes as it shall think fit.

A copy of the said scheme may be inspected at the offices of Messieurs Wilson Wright & Co., Solicitors, at First Floor, St Vincent Plaza Building, 1A St Vincent Avenue, Remuera, Auckland.

Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme shall give written notice of his or her intention so to do to the Registrar of the High Court at Auckland, to Her Majesty's Attorney-General care of the Crown Law Office, Wellington, and to the Les Wood Masonic Trust Incorporated care of the above-mentioned firm of solicitors, not less than 7 clear days before the first above-mentioned date.
