so that the said land shall be maintained and kept in such a manner that any stopbank or other defence against water or any watercourse is maintained in a state of efficiency.

To prohibit the cultivation of the said land by the grantor, any renewal of pasture to be the responsibility of the grantee except that the cost of such renewal shall be borne by the grantor where such renewal is a result of wilful damage or the failure of the grantor to conform to prudent land use practice, being practice which has proper regard to timing and circumstances and is likely to prevent soil erosion, and likely to promote soil conservation, the avoidance of deposits in watercourse, and the control of floods.

Generally to require the doing on or in respect of the said land of any act or thing which may be likely to prevent or mitigate soil erosion or promote soil conservation or the control of floods and to prohibit the doing on or in respect of the said land of any act or thing which may be likely to facilitate soil erosion or floods.

THE full, free, uninterrupted, and unrestricted right, liberty, and privilege for the grantee (The Waikato Valley Authority) its servants, tenants, agents, workmen, licensees, and invitees (in common with the grantor, its tenants, and any other person lawfully entitled so to do) from time to time and at all times by day and by night to go pass and repass, with or without horses and domestic animals of any kind and with or without carriages, vehicles, motor vehicles, machinery, and implements of any kind, over and along the land over which the right of way is granted or created.

Teviotdale Survey District, Hurunui County
PURSUANT to section 323 of the Local Government Act 1974, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been transferred to the Crown by the Hurunui County Council pursuant to the said section 323 and as from the date of this notice the said land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
