Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block XV, Cambridge Survey District, Matamata County and Vesting Control and Management in The Matamata County Council

PURSUANT to section 191 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development hereby

(a) Authorises the application of the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land primarily held for the development of water—power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme) to recreation purposes, which shall be a secondary use of the land, and

(b) Specifies that Part III of the Reserves Act 1977, shall apply to the said land.

(c) Vests the control and management of the said land in The Matamata County Council.

Land Acquired for the Mount Maunganui Branch Railway and for the Functioning Indirectly of a Road in the Borough of Mount Maunganui

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for the Mount Maunganui Branch Railway and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for the functioning indirectly of a road and further declares that the land described in the said First and Second Schedules shall vest in the Crown on the 15th day of March 1984.
