The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1984

Pursuant to section 61(2)(a) of the Electoral Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. Title—This order may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1984.

2. Date for closing of main rolls—The main roll for every General electoral district and for every Maori electoral district shall close on the 31st day of May 1984.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

As part of the roll revision exercise, this order closes, as at the 31st day of May 1984, the main rolls for all electoral districts. This enables the main rolls to be printed and published as at that date. They will then be available to the public for checking.

The making of this order does not preclude the making of a subsequent order later in 1984 closer to the date of the expiration of the present Parliament or the printing of a composite roll as at writ day.

Appointment of a Member of the Timber Preservation Authority

Pursuant to section 3 of the Timber Preservation Regulations 1955, the Minister of Forests hereby appoints on the nomination of the New Zealand Master Builders Federation:

Rodney Lloyd Jones

to be a member of the Timber Preservation Authority with effect from the 16th day of February 1984.
